This afternoon I read this letter written by Samuel Rutherford (a Scottish Puritan who was imprisoned for his faith in the 1600′s, I’ve yet to read an author who makes Christ more lovely, more beautiful, more wondrous than Samuel Rutherford.) and was moved to tears as I read sentence after sentence that extols the beauty and loveliness of Jesus Christ.   Read the rest of this entry »
